Inekon Group tests battery-driven tram for Seattle

Inekon Group has completed the development of the battery-driven tramway and is ready to launch serial production. According to the company, performance tests were successfully carry out in traffic on Ostrava Public Transit Company’s routes. Representative of the city of Seattle (US), which has purchased seven battery-driven trams worth almost USD 30m, have also been present at the tests in Ostrava. More

 

Lithuanian Railways to acquire electric locomotives

Lithuanian Railways (AB Lietuvos Gelezinkeliai) plans to purchase new electric locomotives by 2019, considering that electrification works on Vilnius-Minsk railway line are to be completed in 2016 and the line should also reach Radviliskis railway node in 2020. More
