Bulgarian Development Bank announces sealed-bid auction for 500 BDZ freight wagons

Bulgarian Development Bank AD (BDB) is selling 500 freight wagons, owned by Holding BDZ, pledged in favor of BDB. The goods wagons are divided in 500 lots and are being offered in their present condition. The starting price for all units is EUR 4.6 million. More

 

Mitsubishi Electric tests SiC power modules on Shinkansen trains

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced that it has completed the installation of railcar traction converter/inverter systems with all-silicon carbide (SiC) power modules on N700 Shinkansen bullet trains for Central Japan Railway Company (JR-Central) and begun testing. These are the first 3.3kV, 1500A traction systems to be installed on a high-speed train line, according to the company’s own research. More

Free WiFi in 108 public transport stations in Moscow

Mosgortrans has launched its project to offer free WiFi in public transport stations. Starting with the 24th of June, Moscow has WiFi connection in 108 tramway, bus, railway and metro stations located in different districts of the city. By the end of the year the number of transport stations offering the service will increase to 450. More

 

Contract signed for design of Moscow – Kazan High Speed Line

OJSC High Speed ??Lines, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and a consortium formed of Mosgiprotrans, Nizhegorodmetroproekt and China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co. World Bank seeks consultants for Azerbaijan Railways’ asset management system implementation

The Republic of Azerbaijan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Rail Trade and Transport Facilitation Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services for Establishment of the Asset Management System for Azerbaijan Railways (ADY). More
