USD 5.9 bn Chinese loan for Moscow-Kazan high-speed rail construction project

China will provide a 400 bln rubles ($5.9 bln) 20-year loan for Moscow-Kazan high-speed railway project, informed Alexander Misharin First Vice-President of Russian Railways. “RUB 52 bln rubles (aimed for the section) through Nizhny Novgorod will be allocated to the equity capital (of the project company – TASS) and 250 bln rubles will be granted as a 20-year loan while the second section implies USD1 bln (to be allocated) to the equity capital and a 20-year loan worth RUB 150 bln rubles,” he said. The Bulgarian road transport market leader PIMK Holding Group has entered the rail freight business by establishing PIMK Rail, Bulgaria’s newest rail freight operator. With a planned EUR 9 million for capital investments, PIMK Rail will start operations this autumn. The rail freight operator will run company trains, aiming to take part of its containerised cargo off the road and shift it to rail, informs Capital. More

Ingeteam to supply equipment for Talgo high-speed trains in Uzbekistan

Ingeteam has signed a contract with Talgo for the supply of equipment for four high-speed tractor units for Uzbekistan, thereby helping to extend the country’s fleet of electric traction vehicles. The Ingeteam supply comprises the engineering of the electric system, traction chain equipment, battery chargers, control systems and high voltage switch-gear. Ingeteam will also be responsible for the control electronics, to be adapted to comply with the country’s signalling and communication regulations.More
