A somewhat reduced Train on Line this month, mainly due to your editor being on leave!
However we do have some time sensitive news which is included, everything else will be held over until the next edition in a two weeks time.
The Community Transport Association is holding its annual Westminster Conference on Tuesday 22 November and is offering a discounted rate to ACoRP members.
As the national membership body for community transport, the Community Transport Association is for, and about, accessible and inclusive transport, working for a world where people can shape and create their own accessible and inclusive transport solutions.
The conference, which is taking place at the beautiful home of the Institution of Civil Engineers, One Great George Street in Westminster, promises to be a collaborative and engaging event. Representatives from across the transport network, the third sector as well as national and local government will gather to discuss how we can make transport accessible and inclusive for all. The event’s keynote speaker will be Andrew Jones MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport.
The day will include sessions on how to build partnerships across the transport sector; a policy update from the Department for Transport; and discussion on innovative transport solutions that are pushing boundaries to improve mobility.
As well as this, One Great George Street’s Great Hall will become an exciting networking and exhibition space, with expert exhibitors discussing their thoughts on the economic value of community transport, sustainability, health, accessibility, and innovation.
The conference will be beneficial for AcoRP members to attend and the CTA is offering a discounted rate of £125 + VAT, usually reserved for their members. For more information and to book your place see the latest programme here or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
