Station Visitors can report dirt by WhatsApp Report • A telephone number for all three stations: 0157 923 628 36

(Berlin, February 21, 2017) In the railway stations Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Berlin Südkreuz and Berlin Ostbahnhof German Rail is currently testing a new cleaning concept to eliminate dirt faster.

Travelers and station visitors are invited to report spills in the three stations. They need only a WhatsApp message with indication of their location and type of contamination to send to the number 0157 923 628 36 and receive a confirmation of receipt. The customer will receive upon request a notification when the cleaning is done. It can also evaluate the station cleanliness with a school grade.

The modified cleaning concept will be implemented upon completion of the test phase at selected stations in Germany.

Stations are the gateway to the rail system and the business card for DB AG, therefore cleanliness is very important for customer satisfaction. The German Bahn AG spent annually on a double-digit millions for the cleaning of about 5,400 stations.

The new cleaning concept is part of “future path”, the core of the largest Group restructuring of DB since the rail reform in 1994. The multi-year business program is more quality in all business areas and in the system composite rail. Given numerous improvements in service and quality will be implemented in the coming years for the customers.
