With Chiltern Railways having cut their onboard food offer, here at Virgin Trains, we thought there’s no better time to remind customers that our offering is going strong and here to stay.
At Virgin Trains, we see record numbers travelling on our route to and from the West Midlands. We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we wanted to offer hungry Chiltern customers the opportunity to have breakfast on us.
SO WHAT DID WE DO ABOUT IT?
On 2nd June 2017, Virgin Trains took the ‘Bacon Butty Battle Bus’ to the stations of Birmingham to let Chiltern’s customers’ know exactly what they’re missing out on.
And what a timely opportunity it was as just last week Chiltern announced it was removing its on-board catering offer. We want to remind people that ours is brilliant and that it’s here to stay.
We treated hungry commuters at Solihull, Warwick Parkway and Birmingham Moor Street to a delicious bacon ciabatta from our very own Virgin Trains’ branded food truck, served by our lovely people.
