Railway Africa’s Editor’s Comment:

It is wonderful to be back in the office, and I would like to take a moment to wish all our readers and valued advertisers a wonderful and prosperous 2018!

So, first week back at work and already some horrific rail accidents have taken place, so suffice to say this week’s News Express carries content that relates to these incidents, plus a few other articles. I was hoping to include aspects of the preliminary findings in this week’s issue, however, the Railway Safety Regulator’s media presentation was still underway at the time of compilation and, as Issue 1 will focus on Rail Safety, I might leave it for that issue. If you have any products or services that you would like to highlight, or have an applicable technical article you think is relevant for our readers, please do send it through for inclusion to newsdesk@railwaysafrica.com
