The Government of Uttar Pradesh in India has approved three separate proposed metro projects in three cities across the state, which will involve a combined investment of Rs470bn ($7.36bn).

A rail operator based in Poland’s Mazovia region, Koleje Mazowieckie, has signed an agreement to purchase 71 new FLIRT EMU trains from Stadler as part of a contract valued at zl2.2bn ($647.9m).
