In 1928 the steam engine was replaced, electrically connected, the small town in the southeast of Berlin on the Spree and the Erkner plant became operational.
But not only railway enthusiasts can look forward to the day of open doors. The Panorama S-Bahn is to train cinema, the show workshop and a large train model system to bring young and old alike to marvel.
In addition to traditional vehicles, including vehicles of active series will be on display, some trains invite you to a trial ride on the grounds of one.
For good entertainment is provided: three action areas are recorded by musicians, magicians and comedy performances provide a good mood. Refreshments will be served in the beer garden.
Day of Open Gates is also fun for children: The children’s area, among others with circus tent, play-S-Bahn and a bouncy castle, invite you to participate.
The entrance fee is 2 euros for adults, children (6-14 years) pay 1 euro. All proceeds and donations will go to the association Historical tram eV benefit that needs the money for refurbishment of the historic Christmas train.
For arrival, the train line S3 or the regional express line RE 1 is recommended.
