RSW 2018 Launch Event in partnership with Network Rail.(Alan Tarrant-RSW2018)

 

RSW will be occupying the main concourse along with Network Rail, BTP, St Johns Ambulance, TfGM, the Fire Service, Metrolink, Fission Rail, SB Rail, Tackling Track Safety and others, where throughout the day we will be handing out goodies, safety leaflets and speaking to the public and staff in the station.

Neena Naylor & Nick Jordon from Network Rail along with their mini-me’s from 2 local schools will be interviewing a handful of key rail representatives from the industry.  This session will be beamed live across the country to numerous schools via Learn Live where we will be encouraging questions from school children across the UK via the Learn Live platform, Twitter and Facebook.

Throughout the day the station will also welcome school classes from across the region for behind the scenes tours and Q&A sessions with a station representative.

For any young budding tram drivers, Metrolink will be on hand with their tram simulator for people to get a first had view of what its like to drive a tram around Manchester.

With more and more events now being confirmed Rail Safety Week 2018 is looking to be the biggest to date.  Along with our supporting partners, we have events planned at stations, worksites, schools and community groups up and down the country.
