Try and touch is encouraged at the programs offered to make the learning material understandable. The program includes far more than 160 offers for all grade levels. Here, DB Regio is supported by more than 100 partners.
What makes the Regio-offer: The trips are largely prepared by public transport and fit exactly to the curriculum. Using search and filter function can search for offers that match the teaching subject and theme. Barbara Jakel, project manager for “Class on the way”:
“Our offer saves teachers time and effort. The learning content can be downloaded with all organizational details as a PDF file sent. We make sure that our proposals are suitable for the curriculum and provide educational content. ”
They range from a day tour through a coal mining area, about participation in a simulated excavation and company visits to the visit of the GeoWunderWerkstatt Geoforschungsinstitutes Potsdam. DB Regio itself offers in Berlin workshop visits or the train station rally in Berlin’s Ostbahnhof.
Solely for teaching subject geography there for the 4th grade level at present 40 proposals for excursions – and rising. For the subject Biology, grade 8, the online database currently offers 30 excursion tips.
