After completion of the first part of the construction work at the station Ostkreuz it comes to further irregularities in train traffic. With the resumption of train operation Lichtenberg / Treptow Park – Ostbahnhof – Alexanderplatz there was a software problem at the interface between two signal boxes of different designs of a manufacturer. During the night, the IT has been tested, this error does not appear. It was only in the early morning, at start-up, the error occurred. Despite the disturbance a safe train operation is ensured by the dispatcher.
The train travels up to date as follows:
Line S3: Erkner <> Karlshorst 
S5 Strausberg Nord / Hoppegarten <> Lichtenberg 
S7: Ahrensfelde <> Potsdam main station in 20-minute intervals, gradually the 10 -minute clock is taken 
S75: Wartenberg <> Lichtenberg and Charlottenburg <> Spandau, each in 20-minute intervals 
S9: Schoenefeld Airport <> Spandau 

The replacement traffic with buses for the line S3 between Karl Horst and Ostkreuz operates according Baufahrplan.

Passengers use the line S5 please to bypass between Wuhletal <> Lichtenberg <> Frankfurter Allee <> Alexanderplatz subway line U5. 
Other bypass options: 
• between Ostkreuz and Westkreuz the circle line S41, S42 
• between Ostkreuz <> Ostbahnhof <> Alexanderplatz <> Friedrichstrasse <> Hauptbahnhof <> Zoo <> Charlottenburg <> Spandau / Wannsee / Potsdam Hbf. The regional trains (RE1, RE2, RE7, RB14, RB 21/22)
